In January 2020, EquiMoves was used in trials with high-level dressage horses. The experiments were done in Florida by Hillary Clayton, Sarah Jane Hobs, Filipe Serra Bragança, Marie Rhodin and Elin Hernlund. The goal of this research was to understand better the gaits and movements of these high-level dressage horses. Using EquiMoves lameness-analysis software, the authors expect to be able to design training exercises to improve straightness based on an

Equine Veterinary Journal ISSN 2042-3306 (2019), DOI: 10.1111/evj.13075 Objective lameness assessment is gaining more importance in a clinical setting, necessitating availability of reference values. The objective is to investigate the between ‐path, ‐trial and ‐day variation, between and within horses, in the locomotion symmetry of horses in regular use

F.M.Serra Bragança, M.Rhodin, P.R.van Weeren (2018), The Veterinary Journal Volume 234, April 2018, Pages 11-23 Quantitative gait analysis has the potential to offer objective and unbiased gait information that can assist clinical decision-making. In recent years, a growing number of gait analysis systems have come onto the market, highlighting the demand for such technology in equine orthopaedics. However, it is imperative that

In Avenches, Switzerland, EquiMoves was used by Agroscope and University of Zurich for breeding purposes. About 68 breeding stallions were measured with EquiMoves. The EquiMoves output will be compared to the visual scores of the judges. A genome-wide association analysis using these Franch-Montagne stallions classified with the EquiMoves output parameters will be used to reveal associations between some EquiMoves parameters and nucleotide polymorphisms
